Far Shore Works makes Wallop. Short version: your games are saved on your own device, your daily score is counted without your name so you can compare, and we don't sell anything about you.
On your device
Your throws and score for each day you play, your streak, your collection, whether sound is on and whether you've seen How to play. It all sits in your browser's local storage, and we never see it. Clearing your browser data erases it.
What reaches us
- No accounts, no sign-in, no cookies and no ads.
- Your result, to compare with everyone: when you finish today's tower, the game sends your score to our server so it can show how you did next to other players. It sends the date, your percent, the points each throw added, your three guesses with their answers, how long the guesses took and the game version. That's it: no name, no email, nothing that says who you are. Replays of past days don't send anything.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare, so Cloudflare sees your IP address when the page loads, like any web host.
- Visit counts: we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records rough details like your country, your browser and the site you came from. Cloudflare says it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't fingerprint you. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the counter doesn't load at all.
Comparing scores
The results screen shows what share of today's players you beat, how everyone's scores spread out, and what people guessed for each question. Those numbers are counts over everyone who played that day; nobody sees anyone else's single result.
So the same phone counts once a day, the game also sends a random code made on your device. The server mixes it with your IP address and a secret key, keeps only the scrambled result for up to two days, and never stores the code or your IP address with your score. The same trick limits how many results can come from one network in a day.
Results are stored with Cloudflare. They hold nothing that identifies you, so we keep them to show each day's numbers.
Sharing
Share opens your phone's share sheet with your score and a link (on a computer it copies them instead). Once ten people have played that day, it also says what share of them you beat. Save picture saves an image of your wrecked tower. Nothing gets posted for you.
Feedback
You can send feedback from the menu or with the faces on the results screen, or just email us. When you send something through the game, a reaction or note keeps the date of the tower, your reaction, any note and topic you add, your score if you react from the results screen, whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer, and the game version. No name or email, so please leave personal details out of the note. Your device remembers that you reacted so it doesn't ask twice.
To stop spam we limit how often one visitor can send in a day. For that, the server scrambles your IP address with a secret key and keeps only the scrambled result, for up to two days. Your IP address is never stored with your feedback. Feedback is stored with Cloudflare and deleted after 90 days.
To have something you sent deleted, email hello@farshoreworks.com with the date and the words of your note.
